Blimey! posted nuffin for 11 days! Been rather busy what with one thing and another...
Had a day off yesterday coz my bezzie Joanne flew down from Scotland (she's a Scouser, mind) and I did a very nice dinner for her and my other bezzie Bill. This morning Joanne flooded the bathroom and by default the kitchen! She's a silly cow but I love her to bits! Wonder if I can claim off the insurance?

Fat Club
Curiously lost 3 1/2 lbs tonight. I'm pointing no accusing finger but this is the amount I had gained last week!!! I'm pretty convinced that the woman that weighs us in can't read the scales. One week I didn't lose at all but the following week I'd lost 8 lb! Either way the waist band is looser and I look thinner so I'll keep at it... How long? I have no idea. Back to Yoga and Weights tomorrow.

Like losing an old friend
My Suit came to see me this morning. I had an inkling that he might. He’s been looking rather tired and a little shabby lately. He said that he’s been working very hard; putting in a lot of hours and, well, he’d like to take early retirement. Of course I agreed. I had seen this coming. Would he consider working part-time? I asked. No, he said. But he might help out if I was busy.
I asked if everything had been all right at home - I could see the stain on the lapel. Loose button. Well, of course, it all came out!
He simply couldn't’t get on with the new shirts I had bought - just not his style! And the shoes… well! He felt it time to move on and let a newer suit take on the job.
He’s been an old friend for sometime now and we’ve shared some good times and bad. I once found him on the bedroom floor covered in god knows what! We have a history. But this weekend we shall part company and I’ll pop into town and start recruiting a new one. Always difficult, I find.
And of course, it won’t end there… word gets around! In the end this will mean a whole new wardrobe! At least with the warmer weather coming you can rely just on casuals; serious recruitment can be deferred until the autumn.

My New Friend!

I have a new, if unwanted friend. He's been leaving little gifts for me all over the kitchen work surfaces! I'm afraid it's a onesided relationship and so I've decided to end it - completely! Having gutted the kitchen on Friday he still didn't get the message and, after doing it all again on Saturday the inevitable happened. One little gift too many. So we have now (or so I hope) parted company for good. As Shakespeare says "I can smile and I can murder while I smile...!" I'm smiling; don't quite know where the mouse has gone...

Knackered!
Cocked up big time... Didn't get to bed until 0200 as I was gonna take today (Friday) off but woke with a start at 0500 remembering I had scheduled staff training for the morning and as I was doing it I couldn't get out of it. Couldn't get back to sleep so have been tottering around feeling awful! Just like jet lag. My eyes look dreadful!
Early to bed tonight and a Looooooooooooooooooooooong lie in tomorrow! ummmmmmmmmmm!

I Don't Belive It!
I don't believe this! They've had another £200 quid out of my account!!! That's £400 in total. It seems that although I cancelled my debit card, the transaction took place just before. So that's more forms and delays before I can get it credited back into the account. The new debit card arrived today but that's bloody useless coz there's nothing in the account now. The only pounds I've got left is the 3 1/2 I gained at Slimming World yesterday!!!
I'm very careful these days with where and how I use the card but I use it alot in M*******s supermarket and I'm pretty certain that's where the card gets skimmed. Deffo. You would think, living in the Olympic Borough that we had good facilities but M. is the only large supermarket! We also have no Petrol Stations either and no big chain stores. Practically Third F*****g world! ...and the bin men haven't been and my bin stinks...There, that's my evening rant. Just the bloody ironing to do now.

Slimming World
Today was weigh in day. 3 1/2 pounds!!! Not bad eh? Thought I'd put on more than that. Mind you it was a real effort to keep it on. Had to stuff my face like mad! Had Saveloy and Chips on the way home by way of reward. (...and I didn't get the fruit again! just as well I always forget to bring mine lol)

Hummmmmph!
Well today, for a Monday, started out ok. Then at lunchtime I found that some B*****d had (again!) lifted £200 out of my account! I don't believe this because this is the 6th time it has happened since 12 months back. It can't be the same person(s) as I've had 3 new debit cards as a consequence. Sure you get the money back (after a series of correspondance) but blimey 6 times is pushing it. My off has never been so pissed! I'm on a tight budget as it is so it will be even tighter until this gets sorted. Never mind.
I'm supposed to be getting weighed in to my Slimming World class tomorrow but I feel an eating fest coming on - well I would if I had anything to eat lol! On the up side, I arrange all my bills to bepresented on the 1st of the month so these have all been paid. Snall consolation, mind you.
Tonight is the anniversary (2nd) of my father's death. It will be a poignant evening. He died suddenly and swiftly fully active (well until the bit when he keeled over) and in full command of his mind, his wit and humour. I miss him. He was 83. His life was well lived. He achieved all his goals. He was a vegetarian in his last few years, supported animal welfare groups and in his spare time was a published author and also wrote plays for TV and Radio. He read constantly - mainly Dickens and gained his degree when he was in his early 70's. I hope I'm granted a similar life (apart from the vegetarianism that is lol!)

Ben and Maria's Anniversary
Well, we had an excellent evening. Matthew stayed conscious (at least until the early hours of Sunday) and my meal was superbly cooked. We went back to Matthews and punished some bottles of wine (and then some appalling Sherry - as you do a 2 in the morning!). Got up around 11.30 and Ben cooked a full breakfast. Now rather tired! So a Lavander bath and a cozy night in from of the box. Felt really well this weekend - no AF but then I forgot to take the Wafarin, which always makes me feel ill... So now ready to have it all ruined by another busy week ahead. Ah well.
(Matt and I had a chat about nutrition. He'd heard a prog on R4 about all the nutritional information is wrong because it has never addressed social factors. Gonna find out more and post a little about it coz it's all about how we eat wrongly these day and that's why we get fat and ill. Watch this space (I hope someone does, or I'm just sitting in the kitchen typing this for no particular reason lol)

Hypchondriac's Blog
Yesterday, I had Leukaemia; possible ME which has now miracuously disappeared - as it always does. Seriously, I had a terrble fatigue in the evening. Rational thinking tells me "Yes, It was the end of a busy week. You have just had dinner and are stretched out on the settee in front of a log fire. Who wouldn't feel a tad tired!". To the hypochondriac this just doesn't wash. But today I feel better!
Shopping done, beds stripped and linen washed; dusting and hoovering nearly finished... then off to my brothers' for dinner. 'Tis Ben and Maria's 4th (maybe 5th wedding anniversary). Tarrantino's in Brentwood. My other brother Matthew collapsed there the last time he went (just pay the goddam bill, I suggested...) and I had what a friend described as a 'cat's meat' lasagne - the filling wasn't cooked properly. I'm looking forward to it immensely!!!
When a little out of sorts, I make soup. I have a pot of simmering bones and veg on the go as I type and the kitchen is filled with mouthwatering smells. I'm baking bread too. Making soup is my stress buster. Unfortunately, it doesn't go down too well on a blazing hot day, but then it's freezing here and most welcome.
Have just finished a pair of gloves to wear tonight..no wonder I get tired!
